The Panto Project

Some years ago, Luther Hanson and Christine Nicholson decided to create a British panto for City Theatre's holiday production. The tradition stems from a 150 year old history in the UK of staging a pantomime during the holidays. A pantomime is often a fairy tale or common story that's been...um...altered a bit. Always a family friendly show, here are the basic rules:

The lead boy, usually a prince, is played by a young woman in shorts and boots.
There will be a middle-aged man in a dress playing one of the parts.
There will be a "Panto" animal - we have a horse (and a lovely horse he is).
It will be filled with local references, pop-music, and jokes (some good, some...well, not so much.)
There are baddies that get things thrown at them.

We are the same folks who have been bringing you the panto for the last six years, just with a new company and new place.

This year we are taking on the classic Cinderella tale, in a new, twisted and glorious production.
